SpaceNet had been operating in Uganda since 1999 and was taken over by Datanet.Com LLC in January 2003. SpaceNet now operates as a "brand" or "product" of Datanet.Com LLC, which is a company with vast experience in the general field of Information Technology providing IT solutions in diverse situations. Datanet.Com LLC has invested tremendously in bettering the existing SpaceNet infrastructure, most noticeably in the areas of Internet rapidity, connectivity, reliability and most definitively in Customer Technical Support.
SpaceNet is licensed by the Uganda Communications Commission and registered by the Uganda Revenue Authority to provide all Internet and email-related services.
